Surf Seconds

Surf Seconds is a bunch of simple tools for passing on your old surf gear - surfing, body-boarding, wind-surfing, kite-surfing etc. - or for finding some good second hand gear to get you started and into the water. To get started read about how it works.

This is a project of CrunchyPear and was born out of the frustration of looking for an affordable surfboard in September 2005.

We figure it should be a lot easier to find a good search-able listing of surf gear in the one spot, a bit like Daft.ie when you’re looking for a house to rent. No matter what type of surf-vice takes your fancy, body-boarding, kite-surfing, wind-surfing, paddle-ski etc.

Added to the site are simple tools to let everyone give a helping hand to those new to these sports. You might be an intermediate surfer who’s still a bit miffed to the pros and cons of different gear choices - in surfboard speak, what difference will a single to double concave, channel bottom or swallow tail make to my surfing? So if you got the wisdom you can easily pass it on by commenting and rating items posted.

This is what Surf Seconds aims to be. A place for finding good secondhand surf gear recommended by good folk and for a fair price.
